Block, Joseph E.

Joseph E. Block, 47, Bonduel, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005. Joseph was born to Elroy and Joan (Gauthier) Block on May 6, 1958, in Milwaukee. Joseph served with the United States Navy from December, 1975 to June 1982 and he also served and retired from the Green Bay Naval Reserves. On June 25, 1988, he married Mary Rudolph at Trinity Lutheran Church at Coleman. While growing up in Milwaukee, he was an altar boy at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, a Boy Scout and he belonged to the Boys and Girls Club of the City of Milwaukee. Recently he was a member of the Wolf River Sky Divers of Shiocton, the Angelica-Pulaski Am Vets Post 160 and a member of the 218 Club. Joseph loved hunting at his great-grandparents farm at Gillett, he also enjoyed camping and sky diving. He loved his dog, Marcus who was his faithful companion.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Mary of Bonduel; his children, Lee, Robert, Michael, and Melissa Block all of Bonduel; his parents, Elroy and Joan Block of Bonduel; Grandmother, Mrs. Leo "Joan" Gauthier of Oconto Falls; a sister, Veronica (John) Campbell of Shawano; brothers, Peter (Naomi "Amy") Block of Shawano; Timothy (Debbie) Block of Moreno Valley, Calif; Jordan (Beth) Block of Seattle, Wash; nieces and nephews, David Campbell and Mariah (Patrick) Boehm; James, Phillip, Kevin and Brian Block; Klarissa and Joshua Block; Ian Block; great-nephews, Blake, Jacob and Brice; many aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Aaron Michael Block; a sister, Maureen Louise Block. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 28, 2005, at 11 a.m. at St. Martin Catholic Church in Cecil with Father Charles Shebuski officiating. Family and Friends may call on Sunday, November 27, from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Zastrow Funeral Home in Cecil and at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the services. Sunday evening there will be a military rites service by Am Vets Post 160, followed by a prayer service at 7 p.m. Internment will be at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Oconto Falls. Zastrow Funeral Home in Cecil is assisting the family.
