Well here is my opinion.Entropy works,
it is much faster then freenet,
it is not as difficult to install as freenet and
it is not a friend to friend network as freenet (i don't trust freenet because of that)
I get it to work well and am now in the process to write a howto install it into Debian distributions
and more....... However as of today i am not sure if it is impossible to retrieve content from freenet to entropy and visa versa. Frost is mainly a freenet tool, it is not clear to me what and why people use it on the entropy network.Wrong with entropy is this board and users support but we can work on that. I did some research on this project and i also think that as long as entropy uses home-brew encryption there is room for improvement, i love to see it use blowfish encryption.
Also there should be some “life” support like a irc channel where people can help installing entropy. As i looked at the pages and content inside entropy i found most pages outdated. About 50% is pushed off the network, new material is rare. This made me think......are there hidden community on entropy???? Toralf (and others) what are you doing on a network that has no new material for months even years? Do file's that show up on frost boards make it to entropy engine?
More users and developers.
This is done by advertising and getting (Linux) OS to implement entropy to their distributions. The existence of entropy is poorly spread.No 1 to do:
